Quarantine diary, week one

Monday, Mar. 16

First day before the shelter in place order. I’m currently out of work and I had two phone interviews. One of them I decided I wasn’t interested in. I had my last meal in a restaurant, a bowl of chili for lunch at Reverie Cafe.

Tuesday, Mar. 17

First day of shelter in place order. I had a doctor’s appointment for a routine checkup, which I cancelled. I went grocery shopping early in the morning at Luke’s Local. They only had limited supply of a few items. We started a nightly sing-along in my neighborhood,

Wednesday, Mar. 18

Second day of shelter in place order. Again I went shopping at Luke’s Local after they got a big shipment so I was able to pick up more basics. Our nightly 7PM sing-along continues.

Thursday, Mar. 19

I went shopping at Walgreens. Some items were stocked but many shelves were empty. No TP or hand sanitizer. Thankfully I don’t need TP. I bought my usual 12 pack the week before the craziness started.

Friday, Mar. 20

I pretty much stayed in. I had a video meeting scheduled, but had to cancel because Comcast was down.

Saturday, Mar. 21

I had a more active day. I went for a walk around my neighborhood, and ordered takeout dinner from my neighborhood sushi place. Tonight’s sing-along was a lot of fun.

Sunday, Mar. 22

I’ve started to lose track of the days. I always shower, shave, and get dressed every day even if I’m not going out, a habit I kept from when I was working at home. I stayed in most of the day and picked up dinner from Zazie.
