Quarantine diary, week one
Monday, Mar. 16
First day before the shelter in place order. I’m currently out of work and I had two phone interviews. One of them I decided I wasn’t interested in. I had my last meal in a restaurant, a bowl of chili for lunch at Reverie Cafe.
Tuesday, Mar. 17
First day of shelter in place order. I had a doctor’s appointment for a routine checkup, which I cancelled. I went grocery shopping early in the morning at Luke’s Local. They only had limited supply of a few items. We started a nightly sing-along in my neighborhood,
Wednesday, Mar. 18
Second day of shelter in place order. Again I went shopping at Luke’s Local after they got a big shipment so I was able to pick up more basics. Our nightly 7PM sing-along continues.
Thursday, Mar. 19
I went shopping at Walgreens. Some items were stocked but many shelves were empty. No TP or hand sanitizer. Thankfully I don’t need TP. I bought my usual 12 pack the week before the craziness started.
Friday, Mar. 20
I pretty much stayed in. I had a video meeting scheduled, but had to cancel because Comcast was down.
Saturday, Mar. 21
I had a more active day. I went for a walk around my neighborhood, and ordered takeout dinner from my neighborhood sushi place. Tonight’s sing-along was a lot of fun.
Sunday, Mar. 22
I’ve started to lose track of the days. I always shower, shave, and get dressed every day even if I’m not going out, a habit I kept from when I was working at home. I stayed in most of the day and picked up dinner from Zazie.
