Bluesky now has DMs

Bluesky released a new update today that adds support for direct messaging. However, they don’t have end to end encryption so it shouldn’t be used for any kind of confidential communications.

There’s a new tab for DMs and you need to opt in to receive them. By default you only receive messages from people you follow.

A previous update added GIF support and they’re planning to add full video support in a future update.
